Today we will be taking a look at the 8-Bit Batman (Entertainment Earth Exclusive) Pop! from Funko. This 8-Bit line from Funko is a newer line that they have been doing. Making some of the classic Pop! figures look like how they did when they were in video games. This will be the last review for the 2018 year, I do find it a little funny that I am ending my 3rd year with the same type of Batman I ended my 1st year with. If you are not sure what I am talking about you will see in the comparison area. I would also like to take the time and thank everyone for all the support that you have given Toying Around and the Toying Around Live Videos this past year. This will be the final review for 2018, but fear not Toying Around will be back this February 2019 with all-new Toy Reviews!
Packaging: Before we open this up, let's take a look at the packaging.
Looking at the front of the box you can see on the top you have the Pop 8-Bit logo on the left with the DC Super Heroes logo in the middle and the number #1 as this is the 1st figure in this DC 8-Bit line. There is a nice big window that displays Batman for one who wishes to display the figure inbox. On the bottom, there is a nice picture of Batman (Non-Exclusive) with his name running along the bottom of the box. Turning the box to the left you can again see the Pop! logo, The same Batman picture from the front only now a full-sized picture of it with his name and figure number below him. The back of the box gives you a half look at the same Batman picture along with a little 8-Bit picture of Batman. If you are one who wants to keep the Pop inbox you turn the box around one more time you get a nice wrap-around of the window to show off Batman. This is a nice feature for people who like to keep the Pop figures inbox.
Outside of the Box: Let's open the box and take a closer look at the figure.
Taking a look at Batman outside the box you can see how they made this -bit Batman come to life. He is very blocky and the blue and purple just pop (no pun intended) on this guy.
Accessories: Let's see what kind of accessories the figure comes with. NONE!
Articulation: How can we pose the figure? Let's find out! NONE!
Size Comparison: How does the size of this figure compare to others?
8-Bit Batman stands about 4 inches tall at the top of his head and 4.5 inches to the top of his ears. For size comparison, we have our 8-Bit Batman standing next to the 8-Bit style Batman from NECA. This is the figure I ended my 1st year of reviews with. If you want, you can check out that review HERE.
Overall: If you can find this figure please do yourself a favor and pick him up, he is just amazing to look at. Retail Cost: $15.00 I picked up my 8-Bit Batman from Mashko Collectables.
Time for some Toying Around!!
