Toying Around Reviews - DC Multiverse: Rebirth Reverse-Flash

Updated: Feb 8, 2023

Today we will be taking a look at the Reverse-Flash from the DC Multiverse line. This Reverse-Flash is labeled as being from DC Rebirth. Overall over the years, his look hasn’t changed too much. McFarlane Toys, a subsidiary of Todd McFarlane Productions, is a company founded by comics creator Todd McFarlane which makes highly detailed model figurines of characters from movies, comics, popular music, video games, and various sporting genres.

PACKAGING: Before we open this up, let's take a look at the packaging.

Starting at the front of the box, we have a nice big window that lets us see the figure and everything he comes with. The top of the box lets us know that the figure has 22 points of articulation. The bottom of the box has the DC Multiverse logo as well as Reverse-Flash’s name. Turning the box to the side we have the name of the figure, and where the inspiration for the figure came from. The back of the box has some toy photography of the figure and some pictures at the bottom of other figures you can collect. Turning the box around one more time we get a small window that lets us see the figure.

OUTSIDE OF THE BOX: Let's open the box and take a closer look at the figure.

Taking the Reverse-Flash out of the box we can see that overall the figure is just a reuse of the Flash that came out last year, as he is the reverse I’m sure no one has an issue with this.

ACCESSORIES: Let's see what kind of accessories the figure comes with.

The Reverse Flash comes with some lighting speed effects, a trading card, and a figure stand.

ARTICULATION: How can we pose the figure? Let's find out!

REVERSE-FLASH’S ARTICULATION INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING: BALL-JOINTED NECK - allows you to turn the head 360 degrees.

BUTTERFLY HING - This allows you to move the shoulder area front and back to get a better range of motion.

BALL-HINGED SHOULDERS: It gives the arm 360-degree rotation and also the ability to raise and lower the arm.

UPPER BICEP SWIVEL - This cut lets you turn the whole arm below the cut 360 degrees.

DOUBLE-JOINTED ELBOWS - This allows you to bend the arm over 90 degrees.

SWIVEL BALL HINGE WRISTS - It allows you to turn his wrists in a full 360-degree circle while also bending them up and down.

DIAPHRAGM SWIVEL - This lets you turn the figure around 360 degrees at the diaphragm.

BALL JOINTED WAIST - This lets you be able to turn the figure around 360 degrees at the waist.

BALL JOINTED LEGS - With this it allows the legs to move out to the side along with some front and back motion.

DOUBLE-JOINTED KNEES - The joint allows you to bend the leg itself back to the butt of the figure.

BALL JOINTED ANKLES - The ankle hinge allows you to bend the foot front and back and also to the left and right.

TOE JOINT - This allows you to bend the toes up so you can pose the figure a little better when making him look like he is running or walking.

SIZE COMPARISON: How does the size of this figure compare to others?

Reverse-Flash stands right at 7 inches tall. Here is the Reverse-Flash standing next to Flash

RATING: What are Baby Huey's scores for the figure?

PAINT JOB 5/5 - There is only a little bit of paint on the figure as the body is molded in yellow, but what paint is on the figure is done very well.

FIGURE SCULPT 4/5 - The sculpt of the figure works very well for any Speed-type figure, it's tall and lanky.

POSING 5/5 - You can get this guy into just about any pose you would like to.

ACCESSORIES: 5/5 - The speed effects, like the ones for Flash, work really well on this figure.

DURABILITY 5/5 - The plastic on him is good and doesn’t feel like it’s going to break at all.

OVERALL SCORE 4.8/5 - If you have the Flash figure then you already know what to expect from this guy, and he is the perfect counterpart….or should I say reverse for him :-P

RETAIL COST: $19.99 I PICKED MINE UP AT AMAZON.

TIME FOR SOME TOYING AROUND!!
