Toying Around Reviews - Disney's Marvel Toy Box: Spider-Man Far From Home

Today we are going to be taking a quick look at the new Spider-Man figure from the Disney Exclusive Marvel Toy Box line, This figure is based on his look from the new Spider-Man Far From Home movie. Unlike most of our reviews, we are just going to be looking at the differences between this figure and the original release as they are the same figure, just with different paint apps. you can check out the original Spider-Man review HERE.

PACKAGING: Before we open this up, let's take a look at the packaging.

The Marvel Toy Box figures come in a standard-size blister card. At the top, you have the Disney Store exclusive logo with the Marvel Toy Box Logo running down the left side of the box. Spider-Man is displayed inside the blister card. At the bottom left, you have Spider-Man's name along with the number 20, that’s because this is the 20th figure in the Marvel line. Turning the box to the side you have a clear side look at Spider-Man and his retractable webbing. This is perfect for collectors who wish to keep the figure mint inside the box. On the back of the box, we have pictures of some other new figures, Captain Marvel and Wolverine. The picture for Spider-Man has the Spider-Man Far From Home logo above, as this figure is based on his look in the movie. Flipping the box around one more time we have some artwork of Spider-Man.

ACCESSORIES: Let's see what kind of accessories the figure comes with.

Once again Spider-Man comes with this retractable webbing device that you can suction cup onto glass and have Spider-Man fly up.

SIZE COMPARISON: How does the size of this figure compare to others?

As you can see, this new Spider-Man is the same one that was released last year, the only difference this time around is the paint. The paint job is to make him look like the suit he wore in Spider-Man Far From Home.

RATING: What are Baby Huey's scores for the figure? PAINT JOB 5/5 The paint job is spot on. No issues at all. FIGURE SCULPT / POSING 4/5 The sculpt of the figure is nice, however, it could benefit from a web thwipping hand. DURABILITY 2/5 The figure is already suffering from mold degradation. The figure has very loose joints and it is very hard to stand him up. OVERALL SCORE 3.66/5 The figure does look nice and all, but if you already have Spider-Man from last year I don’t see the need to run out and get this new one unless you are a huge Spider-Man fan. RETAIL COST: $14.99 You can only get the Toy Box Spider-Man figure at Disney.
