Toying Around Reviews - Marvel Legends No Way Home Final Swing Spider-Man

Updated: Dec 5, 2023

This has been a figure I have been waiting for since it was announced back in September at Hasbro PuleCon 2023. This is the Final Swing Suit Spider-Man. The suit Peter Parker puts on at the end of No Way Home. Does this figure hold up to the hype? Let's take a look and find out. If this is your first time checking out a review and you aren't sure what the Marvel Legends are, well here you go, The Marvel Legends Series is a lower-tier toy line that collectors and non-collectors alike would be interested in. This is an action figure line based on the characters of Marvel Comics, initially produced by ToyBiz, and then by Hasbro. This line is in the 6-inch (150 mm) scale, with spin-off lines in the 4-inch (100 mm), 8-inch (200 mm), and 12-inch (300 mm) scale. These figures tend to look good inside and outside the box.

PACKAGING:

Before we open this up, let's check out the packaging.

Spider-Man comes in a blister-style box. The 3 Spider-Man from No Way Home can be seen along the left side of the card. The Spider-Man No Way Home logo is running across the top while Spider-Man himself is displayed in the blister just off-center. The Marvel Legends logo and Spider-Man's name are listed at the bottom left. Turning the card to the one side we can get a look at Spider-Man and his accessories. This is great for any collector who wishes to keep the figure mint on the card. Turning to the back we get an artwork-style poster of the 3 Spider-Men along with a write-up. "SPIDER-MAN IS PETER PARKER! OUR FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD WEB-SLINGER IS UNMASKED, NO LONGER ABLE TO SEPARATE HIS LIFE AS A HIGH-SCHOOLER FROM THE HIGH-STAKES WORLD OF BEING A SUPERHERO.." Turning the card around one more time we get another look at Spider-Man from his right side now.

OUTSIDE OF THE BOX:

Let's open the box and take a closer look at the figure.

Taking Spider-Man off the card we can see all the details that Hasbro put into this guy. He does come packed with the Peter Parker head on the figure. Taking a closer look it's nice to see the texture of the suit and the shiny blue that they used. If the blue was just a bit more shiny I would say they nailed it. The spider logo on the chest should have been bigger, That's how it was in the movie.

ACCESSORIES:

Let's see what kind of accessories the figure comes with.

Spider-Man comes with a masked Spider-Man head, Punches, Crawlers, and Thwipers.

ARTICULATION:

How can we pose the figure? Let's find out!

SPIDER-MAN’S ARTICULATION INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:

DUMBBELL JOINTED NECK - allows you to turn the head 360 degrees.

BUTTERFLY HINGE - This allows you to move the shoulder area front and back to get a better range of motion.

BALL-HINGED SHOULDERS - These give the arm 360-degree rotation and also the ability to raise and lower the arm.

UPPER BICEP SWIVEL - This cut lets you turn the whole arm below the cut 360 degrees.

DOUBLE-JOINTED ELBOWS - This allows you to bend the arm over 90 degrees.

SWIVEL HINGE WRISTS - This cut allows you to turn the wrists in a full 360-degree circle while also bending them up and down.

DIAPHRAGM SWIVEL - This lets you turn the figure around 360 degrees at the diaphragm.

AB CRUNCH - This cut lets you be able to bend the figure front and back at the Abs.

DROP DOWN HIPS - This lets you move the leg down a little bit so you can get some extra movement when trying to move and pose the legs.

BALL JOINTED LEGS - With this it allows the legs to move out to the side along with some front and back motion.

UPPER THIGH SWIVEL - The leg can rotate around a full 360 degrees.

DOUBLE-JOINTED KNEES - The joint allows you to bend the leg itself back to the butt of the figure.

HINGED ANKLES WITH ROCKERS - The ankle hinge allows you to bend the foot front and back. The rockers will enable you to rock the ankles towards the outside and inside of the legs of the figure.

SIZE COMPARISON:

How does the size of this figure compare to others?

This new Spider-Man stands right under 6 inches tall. For comparisons, first, we have him standing next to the Stark Suit from Homecoming and the Parker suit from Far From Home. Next here is our new Spider-Man standing next to the Ultimate Spider-Man and the Renew Your Vowls Spider-Man.

RATING:

What are Baby Huey's scores for the figure?

PAINT JOB 4.7/5 - The paint is well done on my figure. I do have some scuff marks on the chest and some of the lines aren't perfect but it is nice to get a Spider-Man figure that has raised web lines and just not ones that are painted on.

FIGURE SCULPT 4.9/5 - The only miss from this guy being a 5 is that the spider logo should be bigger on the chest. Hasbro waited until now to give us this figure so they had time to make it right, it's not like they were going off concept artwork that changed last minute so the logo should have been right.

POSING 5/5 - This guy can get into everything you want him to get into

ACCESSORIES: 3.8/5 - We are missing some holding hands and maybe a web line, then it would have been perfect.

DURABILITY 5/5 - The plastic is nice and strong. I don't see this guy breaking or snapping anytime soon.

OVERALL SCORE 4.6/5 - This is a great Spider-Man figure and if you find him out in the wild I say grab him, He and the other 2 Spider-Men will be very hard to find.

RETAIL COST: $24.99
