Today we will be a little different, for today’s review we will be taking a look at Spidey from the brand new Spidery and his amazing friends show on Disney Junior. Follow Peter Parker, Gwen Stacy, and Miles Morales and their adventures as the young heroes team up with Hulk, Ms. Marvel, and Black Panther to defeat foes like Rhino, Doc Ock, and Green Goblin and learn that teamwork is the best way to save the day.
PACKAGING: Before we open this up, let's take a look at the packaging.
Spidey comes in an open-style blister card. The top of the card shows Spidey, Miles, and Gwen with the show’s name to the right. Spidey is displayed in the middle along with his accessory. Turning the card to the side you get a good look at the side of Spidey. The back of the card shows the rest of the figures you can get in this first wave. Spidey, Ghost-Spider, Miles, and Green Goblin. Turning the card around one more time we again get a good look at the side of Spidey.
OUTSIDE OF THE BOX: Let's open the box and take a closer look at the figure.
Taking Spidey out of the box you can see that he is a very stylized version of Spider-Man. He has an oversized head and some nice big white eyes. The colors used on the figure are bright and pop.
ACCESSORIES: Let's see what kind of accessories the figure comes with.
Spidey comes with a clip-on web shooting effect.
ARTICULATION: How can we pose the figure? Let's find out!
SPIDEY’S ARTICULATION INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:
BALL JOINTED NECK - allows you to turn the head 360 degrees.
BALL-HINGED SHOULDERS - Gives the arm 360-degree rotation and also the ability to raise and lower the arm.
SWIVEL WRIST (RIGHT ARM ONLY) - This allows you to move the wrist of the right arm in a 360-degree motion.
SINGLE JOINTED LEGS - Both legs are connected so when you move one the other moves with it.
SIZE COMPARISON: How does the size of this figure compare to others?
Here is Spidey with a Marvel Legends Comic Spider-Man and MCU Spider-Man.
RATING:
What are Baby Huey's scores for the figure?
PAINT JOB 5/5 - The paint is very well done on this figure. even for a kid’s toy, they didn’t mess anything up.
FIGURE SCULPT 5/5 - He looks just as he does in the show, I can’t complain about that.
POSING 2/5 - The legs being on one hinge kinda sucks, I understand to a point why they did it but would it be so bad if both legs could move independently?
ACCESSORIES: 2/5 - maybe an extra web accessory would have been nice.
DURABILITY 5/5 - The plastic is strong and I do not see a little breaking him unless they are really trying to
OVERALL SCORE 3.8/5 - If you are a parent and are just getting your kid into superheroes, this is a good show and toy for them.
RETAIL COST: $5.19 I PICKED MINE UP AT MY LOCAL TARGET.
TIME FOR SOME TOYING AROUND!!
