Toying Around Reviews - TMNT out of the shadows Raphael

Writer's picture: Baby HueyBaby Huey

Today we will be taking a look at the new Raphael figure from the Ninja Turtles out of the shadows toy line Personally, for me, Raphael has always been my favorite Ninja Turtle. I wasn’t in love with his look in the 1st movie but for some reason, I do kind of like this new look. So let’s jump into it and see how this Raphael stacks up!

PACKAGING: If you have been buying the Nick Turtles toys you what to expect from the packaging because it hasn't changed for the new movie line. The packaging has a yellow and green background, with the log at the top and a picture of all the Turtles on the top left. You have the Raphael figure displayed in the middle with his name located right below him. The back of the packaging continues the theme from the front while also giving us pictures of the rest of the new TMNT movie line

OUTSIDE THE BOX: Here are the front and back sides of Raphael.

ACCESSORIES: Raphael comes with both Sai and what look to be rock climbing picks

HEIGHT: Raphael stands right at 5 inches tall

ARTICULATION:

SIZE COMPARISON: Here is Raphael with the 2015 original Raphael and the 2014 movie Raphael

FINAL THOUGHTS: For me, Raphael is my all-time favorite Ninja Turtle. While I'm not 100% in love with the new look I do think it is a step up from the 1st movie look. This time around they gave the Turtles a little bit more articulation and that is always a plus in my book

The retail cost is $8.99 I give Raphael a 9/10

TIME FOR SOME TOYING AROUND!!!!
